Trying out a new church is both exciting and nerve-wracking! Hopefully Immanuel UMC is the church to help put that anxiety to rest. The church is here to be part of the growing, changing community of Jefferson. Through the connection of people and the worship of God, there are amazing things happening. Below is some information about Immanuel, please check it out. If you still have questions, please feel free to contact the church. See you Sunday!

WHAT TIME SHOULD I GET HERE?
The Worship service at 9:30 am each Sunday, but please feel free to come early and hang out in the coffee lounge. Many people arrive around 9 am and spend that time talking and hanging out over coffee and snacks.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Honestly, it doesn't matter what you wear – as long as you feel comfortable! If you want to ‘Suit-Up’, go for it! If you feel more comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt or Packers jersey, that works too. Church should be comfortable.

I HAVE YOUNG KIDS, WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Bring them! There is a nursery upstairs – when you come in, just let one of the ‘Red Shirts’ know you have children for the nursery and they will get you where you need to be. There is also Kid’s Church on Sunday for the older Elementary age kiddos called 'Kids Town'. These kids start in church and are dismissed during the service.

WHERE DO I PARK?
Kiddy-corner from the church is a large city parking lot (across the street from Wedl’s Burger Stand) you are welcome to park here. Please use these spaces instead of behind the church as that is for the residents of the apartments.  There is also street parking available.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
If you would like you can bring your Bible and a journal to write notes in, Bibles are also provided in the seats as well. You can also use a Bible App on your phone or tablet - you can download a great one here: https://www.biblegateway.com/app/

DO I NEED TO GIVE MY MONEY?
If you are a guest, you are not expected to ‘Tithe” or give an “Offering”. These are things that members or regular attenders do.  It's not an admission cost. The money received on Sunday goes toward creating a better community outside the church building through outreach and mission work. If you feel compelled to give on Sunday to support the various ministries the church provides, please feel free, but know it's not an expectation.

HOW LONG IS CHURCH?
Worship starts at 9:30 am and usually runs about an hour.
